"We're an R&B pop rock band," the members of HONOR SOCIETY collectively say. Their influences span from Michael Jackson and Prince to Nirvana, Santana and The Beatles. Though its four members were raised in rural Rockland County, New York, their path has led them across the country to Los Angeles, along the way sharing a stage with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato. After attending colleges back East, Michael Bruno (NYU), Jason Rosen (Berklee College of Music), Andrew Lee (University of Hartford) and Alexander Noyes (Wagner College), the band came together in early 2004. Under the leadership of Michael (lead vocals and guitar) and the artistic inspiration of Jason (keys and vocals), the music duo was soon joined by the technically proficient Andrew (bass and vocals) and former Jonas Brothers' drummer Alexander. "A group can't be successfully formed without everyone bringing something to the table" says vocalist Michael Bruno. "We feel like the unique personalities that we have make up the unique character and sound of the band." Aside from playing their own instruments and writing original music, HONOR SOCIETY has impressed audiences from the New York suburbs to the Hollywood Hills. Their fans would agree. In addition to their international recognition, their collegiate image as reflected in their style and merchandise has garnered them over 25,000 friends and 1.3 million plays on MySpace.
